QMW AmigaSoc was founded to provide students of Queen
Mary and Westfield College, University Of London with
a variety of things. We aim to help solve any technical
problems, be they hardware or software-related. We also
have our own Amigas, with a good collection of software
(and soon hardware) to keep members happy. We also run
tutorials on popular items such as HTML and so on. We
have also become the only official computing society
approved by the Department of Computer Science.
<br><br>
In May 1997, QMW AmigaSoc was responsible for organising
the Developer's Conference as attended by reknowned
developers from all over the world, including Amiga
International, Gateway 2000, Phase 5, GP Software, Nova
Design Inc., HiQ, HiSoft, Direct Software and many
others.
<br><br>
We were also approached by the producer of The Computer
Channel's TV show "Chips with Everything" to assist them
with finding suitable people to appear. Dan Winfield of
IMM Studios has since made several appearances because
of our involvement.

Membership is only open to students of Queen Mary and
Westfield College, University of London.
